Job description

The Children's Society has been helping children and young people in this country for over 140 years. We deliver essential local services that provide safe, trusted support to children and young people during times of significant need.

This role sits within our Cheltenham and Tewkesbury Youth Hubs. We offer a wide range of support to young people, from weekly youth groups to one to one's and group sessions all within our hubs and in the wider community.

We are currently looking for a enthusiastic, pro-active and organised individual to join our dynamic, ambitious team.

A key aspect of this role is providing efficient and effective administrative support to Service Managers, Youth Workers, and external partners. You will also act as the welcoming first point of contact at Tewkesbury Youth Hub, ensuring a friendly, professional, and supportive environment for all who use the space., Please note we\'re not responsible for the content of job ads, as they\'re posted by the recruiter. Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multi-task, working in a complex and demanding environments.

  • Proactive and reactive thinker able to prioritise and manage own workload.
  • A highly efficient completer-finisher approach, with advanced IT skills in outlook, word and excel with an understanding of reporting systems.
  • Experience in office management and business and financial administration.
  • Excellent communication skills, including inter-personal communication, writing and telephone management, with a wide range of stakeholders including children and young people, parents and carers, and professionals.

It would also be an advantage if you have any of the following skills and competencies.

  • Experience with dealing with the public, especially young people.
  • Presenting information in a variety of formats to a varied group of stakeholders.
  • Understanding of privacy including around data and young\'s stories.
