Administrative and Clerical Officers
Location: Ulster Hospital

Salary: £12.31 per hour

Hours: Full-Time, Mon – Fri, 9am – 5pm

Are you highly organised, IT-savvy, and ready to support essential healthcare services? MPA Recruitment is seeking Administrative & Clerical Officers work across varies departments in the Ulster Hospital. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a dedicated and fast-paced environment, delivering vital support to clinical and administrative teams.

About the Role:
You’ll provide a wide range of clerical and administrative support within the Hospital Services Directorate. You'll be responsible for managing data, maintaining accurate records, coordinating appointments, preparing reports, and liaising with patients and clinical teams. Your role will be key in delivering efficient and patient-focused services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Input and manage patient data using NHS systems
  • Schedule appointments and admissions in line with clinical priorities
  • Word processing and document handling including letters, reports, and scanning
  • Support with meeting coordination, and diary management
  • Liaise professionally with patients, clinicians, GP practices, and internal departments
  • Ensure patient confidentiality and compliance with Data Protection standards
  • Provide reception cover and supervise junior staff as required
Essential Criteria:
  • 4 GCSEs (Grades A–C) including English Language
  • 1 year clerical/administrative experience
  • 1 year of word processing experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Strong organisational, communication, and teamworking skills
