Job summary

Office Angels is recruiting an Administration Team Leader in Manchester City Centre for a regulatory body. The role is full-time (37 hours) with hybrid working and a guaranteed temp period until end of 2026.

You will lead a team of administrators, ensuring KPIs and SLAs are met and supporting continuous improvement. The successful candidate will have strong managerial and administrative experience, be available to start soon, and be prepared for DBS and reference checks.

Qualifications

  • Excellent verbal and written English (essential).
  • Experience managing and developing teams within a high-volume, fast-paced customer service or administrative environment.
  • Experience using databases and IT applications, especially Excel, Word, Outlook and Microsoft Teams (essential).
  • Excellent organisational skills (essential).
  • Experience delivering projects and achieving operational targets within policies and procedures (essential).
  • Basic understanding of safeguarding (desirable).
  • Experience managing own caseload (desirable).

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with managers and stakeholders for high-quality customer service.
  • Support handling of complaints and sensitive casework.

Administration Team Leader

£16.21 per hour

Manchester City Centre

Hybrid working

On-going temp role

Full-time (37 hours per week)

Office Angels are recruiting for an Administration Team Leader for a regulatory body whose head office is based in Manchester City Centre. The purpose of this role is to lead and support a team of administrators, ensuring KPI's and SLA's are being met and monitoring individual's performance. The ideal candidate will have strong managerial and administration experience.

This vacancy is temporary, guaranteed until the end of 2026, however there is a strong possibility of extension and you will have the ability to apply for permanent positions. The organisation works under a hybrid model, with the expectation for its employees to work a minimum of 3 days in the office and 2 days from home; however, it is mandatory for new starters to attend the office every day during the training period.

This role is due to start imminently, you must be available to start at a relatively short notice. Due to the nature of the organisation, the successful candidate will be subject to a standard DBS check and a 3-year reference clearance, and you will be required to provide up-to-date proofs of address and contact details of referees.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead, manage and deploy a team of administrators, ensuring colleagues understand their responsibilities and deliver against agreed KPIs and SLAs
  • Provide regular coaching, support and feedback to improve individual and team performance
  • Identify and develop talent within the team, supporting colleagues to reach their full potential
  • Monitor team performance, analyse operational data and take ownership of team outputs and service delivery
  • Produce regular management information and performance reports for a range of stakeholders
  • Identify, manage and escalation operational risks and concerns where appropriate
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement, encouraging teams to challenge existing processes and suggest better ways of working
  • Resolve operational queries and issues promptly and effectively
  • Work collaboratively with managers and stakeholders to ensure a seamless and high-quality customer service experience
  • Support the effective handling of complaints and sensitive casework
  • Contribute to the development, documentation and embedding of administrative processes and best practice
