NHS Scotland seeks an Administrative Services Manager for HMP Low Moss, ensuring safe healthcare delivery and managing administrative support within prison settings. The role requires a degree in Business Administration or IT and experience in managing large teams. The position offers a full-time, permanent opportunity with structured working hours.

This is a permanent, full-time position.
The shift pattern for this role is Monday to Thursday, 08:00-16:30, and Friday, 08:00-15:30, with alternative Fridays, 08:00-16:30.
As part of the Prison Health Care Services Management Team, the post holder will manage administrative services related to healthcare delivery at HMP Low Moss. The role involves ensuring a safe environment for prisoners and staff, leading the development and evaluation of administrative systems, and supporting the operational management of the prison healthcare services.
The post holder will be responsible for developing and providing administrative support at HMP Low Moss, facilitating effective patient care through NHS systems, and monitoring the work of the administrative team. They will support the Operational Manager and assist the Prison Health Care Business Support Manager/Administrator Business Support Officer across HMP Low Moss, HMP Greenock, and HMP Barlinnie, with occasional travel to these establishments.
Key responsibilities include maintaining effective support to staff, management, and clinicians, managing rotas, setting objectives, and providing training via KSF and PDP. The post holder will also lead, manage, and advise administrative staff within the prison healthcare setting.
Qualifications required are a degree or HNC in Business Administration and/or Information Technology, or equivalent experience demonstrating the ability to operate at this level. Experience in managing or supervising staff within a large, multi-function service, and knowledge of General Practice Administration, are essential.
