A leading educational institution is seeking a Harrow Association Officer to enhance alumni relations and organize engaging events. Harrow School is situated in Harrow on the Hill, northwest London, and is one of the best-known schools in the world. Around 835 boys study at Harrow and live in the school's 12 boarding houses. The Harrow Association (HA), established in 1907, is the school's alumni organisation. Its membership mainly includes former pupils of Harrow School, known as Old Harrovians (OHs), along with long-serving Masters and other associates, totaling approximately 9,500 members worldwide.
The purpose of the HA is to enhance the lives of all Harrovians, past and present, by helping them fulfill their ambitions and maintaining lifelong connections with each other and the School. Its activities focus on Community, Careers and Employability, and Heritage.
The Harrow Association Officer will assist the Harrow Association Director in fostering strong relationships among OHs and between OHs and the School. The primary responsibilities include organizing and delivering a diverse programme of HA events such as reunion dinners, regional gatherings in the UK and abroad, career networking events, and special evenings like Harrow Songs at the School and at The Royal Albert Hall every five years. The Officer will also liaise with approximately 30 OH Clubs and Societies covering sporting, social, and professional activities.

This role suits an experienced administrator with event organization skills, attention to detail, and an outgoing personality. You should enjoy connecting people and building community relationships through traditional and social media. Excellent written and verbal communication skills that reflect the Harrow brand are essential. The ability to manage multiple priorities calmly and independently, along with innovative ideas to improve working methods, will be highly valued.
