Job summary

Woodkirk Academy is seeking an Administration Assistant to support the smooth running of school administration. The role is permanent, 37 hours per week, term-time plus five additional days, based at Woodkirk Academy.

You will handle telephone inquiries, maintain records, and use Microsoft Office to streamline office tasks, contributing to a positive, efficient school environment. DBS checks are required for successful candidates.

Qualifications

  • Administrative support experience, preferably in education.
  • Proficient in MS Office to streamline daily tasks.
  • Experience handling telephone inquiries and front-desk queries.
  • Strong records management and signposting skills.
  • Good customer service and communication abilities.

We have an excellent opportunity for an Administration Assistant to join us and provide administrative support to the school. You will be responsible for the smooth running of key aspects of school administration and ensure that systems and processes are in place to assist with this.

Responsibilities
  • Provide administrative support to the school and ensure the smooth running of key school administration tasks.
  • Handle telephone enquiries and act as the initial point of contact for queries within the school office.
  • Maintain up-to-date records and ensure efficient signposting to the correct person or department.
  • Utilise Microsoft Office packages effectively to reduce administrative burden and support daily operations.

Role details

The postholder will work 37 hours per week, Monday to Thursday 8am - 4pm and Friday 8am to 3.30pm, term time only plus 5 additional days. This post will be based at Woodkirk Academy.
