We are looking for an organised and enthusiastic Administration Assistant to join the Herefordshire Museums & Galleries team to work on our Opening Horizons project. This is an exciting opportunity to support a vibrant museum service, helping to ensure the smooth delivery of administrative, financial and operational activities across the project.
Working closely with museum staff, schools, contractors and external partners, you will play a key role in supporting the project.
You will provide administrative and financial support to the Herefordshire Museums & Galleries and Opening Horizons teams, helping to ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the project. This will include coordinating artists/schools, maintaining records and supporting the projects.
You will manage bookings for schools, facilitators and resources, liaising with museum staff, schools and contractors to ensure activities are delivered successfully and on time.
We are looking for someone who is highly organised, proactive and able to manage a varied workload. You will enjoy working with people, have excellent attention to detail and be confident using IT systems and Microsoft Office applications.
An interest in museums, heritage, arts or culture would be advantageous.
