Job summary

Kent Community Health NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an Admin Team Leader to support frontline NHS teams in Gravesham. You will coordinate administrative activities, manage confidential information and drive efficient reporting and data preparation.

The role requires strong communication, attention to detail and leadership in a busy healthcare setting; NHS experience is valued but not essential.

  • Level 4 qualification (e.g. certificate of higher education, higher national certificate, NVQ level 4) or equivalent demonstrable experience, Practical application of HR practices, policies and procedures
  • Experience of handling confidential and sensitive information
  • Leading teams in busy and pressurised environments, NHS administrative experience
  • Experience of working with members of the public
  • Basic experience of a financial system i.e. Agresso, Advanced knowledge and understanding of Microsoft Office packages e.g. Outlook, Word, Excel and Powerpoint
  • Design and development of standard and bespoke data reports
  • In depth knowledge of the service, site and users, Understanding of health and social care sector, including working knowledge of NHS structures, policies and processes, Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate and work effectively with a wide range of people from different backgrounds at all levels of seniority
  • Excellent attention to detail, accuracy and organisational skills, Ability to record accurate minutes of meetings and present to a high standard
  • Ability to concentrate and focus on diverse tasks whilst dealing with frequent interruptionsKent Community Health NHS Foundation Trust is due to integrate with Medway Community Healthcare on 1 October 2026. Following integration and to align our community services to the new Neighbourhood Model of care delivery, there will be a period of consultation which may result in changes affecting some services, teams or roles.
