Job summary

Gloucestershire County Council is seeking an experienced Administration Supervisor to lead the administration team and deliver a high-quality business support service. You will manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment, focusing on customer service, data integrity and continuous improvement.

The role requires strong leadership, excellent communication and the ability to develop staff while maintaining robust systems.

Qualifications

  • Experience managing or supervising administrative teams in a busy environment.

  • Experience of business support processes, financial administration and office systems.

  • Coordinate meetings, projects, communications and service-wide administrative activities.
  • Support financial administration, budget monitoring, procurement activities and management information.
  • Ensure data, records and information are maintained accurately and in line with corporate standards.
  • Build strong relationships with colleagues, customers, suppliers and stakeholders across the organisation.

The Corporate Fleet Unit plays a critical role in supporting services across Gloucestershire, ensuring the efficient management of vehicles, systems and processes that help keep frontline services running.

About The Role

We are looking for an experienced and motivated Administration Supervisor to lead our administration team and drive the delivery of a high-quality business support service. This is an excellent opportunity for an organised and proactive individual who is passionate about customer service, developing people, and continuously improving the way we work.

Working in a fast-paced operational environment, you will lead a team responsible for delivering effective administrative support, managing competing priorities, and ensuring robust systems and processes are in place to meet the needs of the service.

What You Will Be Doing
