Job description

Position: Full-Time Temporary Admin Officer - Wigan
Contract: until June 2025 with possibility of extension
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, Office Hours (37 hours per week)
Hourly Rate: £12.36 increasing to £12.53 after 12 weeks


Job Description:
We are currently seeking an organised, motivated Admin Officer to support the admin team based in Wigan Magistrates Court. Responsibilities include dealing with Magistrates' enquiries, correspondence, and telephone enquiries. The team also covers meetings across teams and face-to-face meetings where note-taking and action points will be required, along with producing reports as required by the magistrate's committees. Training will be given on all aspects of the role. Excellent communication and IT skills are required for this post.


Requirements:

  1. Minimum qualifications: Five GCSEs at Grade C or above (including English Language or equivalent), NVQ Business Administration Level 2, or relevant clerical experience.
  2. Strong administrative skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  3. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

The successful applicant will be subject to a 3-year referencing period, along with a DBS conducted.
