Job summary

Wilson Power Solutions Ltd in Leeds seeks an IT Manager to lead day-to-day IT operations across the UK business, ensuring stable infrastructure, end-user support, and secure IT services. You will translate business needs into delivery plans, manage internal staff and external suppliers, and drive service improvements while maintaining compliance.

The role requires strong knowledge of Microsoft 365, ERP systems, networks, and cybersecurity.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in an IT Manager or senior IT operations role.
  • Strong knowledge of IT operations across infrastructure, end-user computing, Microsoft 365, networks, service delivery, and supplier management.
  • Experience managing third-party vendors, contracts, and operational service delivery.
  • Good understanding of cybersecurity, IT policies, compliance, backup, and business continuity.
  • Experience leading operational change, projects, and service improvement activity.
  • Strong communication, decision-making, people management, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Desirable: experience in manufacturing, engineering, ERP-enabled environments, or multi-site businesses.

Responsibilities

  • Lead day-to-day IT operations across WPS UK, ensuring reliable support for infrastructure, devices, business applications, networks, and end users.
  • Implement IT strategy, standards, and policies in line with business priorities and GTD’s direction.
  • Manage internal IT resources and third-party suppliers, including service performance, issue escalation, delivery coordination, and accountability against agreed outcomes.
  • Oversee infrastructure and hardware operations including network services, servers, storage, workstation and device management, and core office technology.
  • Ensure effective administration and support of software and business applications, including Microsoft 365, ERP and other business-critical platforms.
  • Maintain strong oversight of cybersecurity, data protection, compliance, backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity arrangements.
  • Own IT service performance, including incident management, support responsiveness, prioritisation, monitoring, and continual improvement of support processes.
  • Manage IT budgets, operational spending, license costs, and supplier-related spend, escalating items requiring higher approval where needed.
  • Plan and coordinate IT projects, upgrades, rollouts, and change initiatives, ensuring structured execution, stakeholder engagement, and minimal business disruption.
  • Work closely with department leaders to understand operational needs, support technology adoption, and align IT delivery with business processes and growth plans.
  • Ensure documentation is maintained for systems, services, policies, risks, decisions, and operational procedures.
  • Provide regular reporting on service performance, project progress, resource utilisation, risks, incidents, and compliance status.

Salary & Benefits
  • Salary negotiable dependent on experience
