Langley Moor Primary School (part of Langley Moor Schools Primary Federation) is a friendly and caring school. The successful candidate will become part of a committed and successful team who have high expectations and demonstrate a caring attitude towards our children’s pastoral and academic development. We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, motivated, skilled and caring Admin Assistant.

Responsibilities and qualifications
  • Be experienced in working within a school’s administrative team.
  • Have experience of ICT systems (Office 365, Arbor, Oracle).
  • Be able to organise and prioritise tasks.
  • Have excellent written and oral communication skills, and be able to relate to a broad variety of people.
  • Have experience of supporting pupils and families with pastoral concerns.
  • Be able to work to tight deadlines, whilst maintaining quality standards.
  • Be kind, caring and welcoming.

Pay and leave (term-time)

Standard term time only pay is calculated on the basis of: 38 weeks (term time) + 1.6 weeks (public holidays) + 5.4–6.4 weeks (annual leave). Individual leave entitlement is calculated on the length of continuous service. Employees with less than 5 years’ service will receive 27 days annual leave. Employees with more than 5 years’ service will receive 32 days annual leave.

Examples:

  1. Less than 5 years’ service: 38 weeks (term time) + 27 days (annual leave) + 8 days (public holidays) = 45 weeks’ pay, paid in 12 equal monthly instalments.
  2. More than 5 years’ service: 38 weeks (term time) + 32 days (annual leave) + 8 days (public holidays) = 46 weeks’ pay, paid in 12 equal monthly instalments.
