Job summary

Virginia State University in Chesterfield seeks qualified adjunct faculty for Fall 2024 and Spring 2025 in the College of Engineering and Technology to teach up to 12 credit hours per semester, in-person and/or online (synchronous and asynchronous).

Candidates must hold a Master’s degree in the teaching field (or a master’s with 18 graduate credits), demonstrate effective teaching, and be able to work with a diverse student population using instructional technologies such as Banner/Blackboard.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in the teaching field or a master’s degree with a minimum of 18 graduate credits in the teaching field.
• Ability to teach Applied Engineering Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Physics, Mathematics and Economics.
• Demonstrated effective and engaging teaching skills.

Responsibilities

• Teach up to 12 credit hours per semester in-person and/or online (synchronous and asynchronous).
• Maintain regular office hours to engage students and support success.
• Ability to work with a culturally and educationally diverse student population and adapt to emerging Pedagogies.
