The role
At Vision for Education, we provide an inclusive and supportive learning environment for all pupils. We are currently seeking passionate and motivated Additional Learning Needs (ALN) Teaching Assistants to join our team and assist in providing tailored support for pupils with diverse learning needs. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference to children’s lives.
As an ALN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with students who require extra support to access the curriculum and develop essential skills. You will work under the guidance of the class teacher Additional Learning Needs Coordinator (ALNCo), providing one-on-one and small group support in the classroom. You will also help create and implement individualised learning plans for students, ensuring that they are able to engage fully with their education.
Requirements
The desired ALN Teaching Assistant will have:
- Previous experience working with students with Additional Learning Needs (ALN) is preferred, but not essential.
- A patient, empathetic, and flexible approach.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- A genuine desire to help students achieve their full potential.
- Knowledge of specific learning disabilities or experience with autism, ADHD, or dyslexia would be beneficial.
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (we can support with this process)
- Registered on the Educational Workforce Council (EWC)
