Job summary

British Cycling seeks a Rehabilitation Cycling Lead at the National Rehabilitation Centre to deliver tailored cycling sessions within a multidisciplinary team, supporting recovery, wellbeing and independence after life-changing injury or illness.

You will work with NHS clinicians to integrate cycling into rehabilitation pathways and monitor progress, contributing to evidence and programme development through inclusive coaching.

Qualifications

• Experience using physical activity, sport or exercise as part of rehabilitation and recovery.
• Experience working with disabled people and/or individuals recovering from trauma, injury or long-term health conditions.
• Knowledge and experience of adaptive cycles, adapted equipment and inclusive coaching approaches.
• Passion for the power of cycling to improve health, wellbeing and quality of life.
• Enthusiasm for innovation and a desire to help shape a pioneering cycling-for-rehabilitation programme.

Responsibilities

• Deliver bespoke cycling sessions tailored to individual patient needs, abilities and rehabilitation goals.
• Support, motivate and encourage participants to build confidence, independence and physical activity habits through cycling.
• Work alongside NHS clinicians and rehabilitation teams to integrate cycling into patient recovery programmes.
• Monitor participant progress and outcomes, contributing to evidence, case studies and programme development.
