Job summary

Isle of Wight Council is seeking a part-time Technician to support the Community Equipment Service on the Isle of Wight. The role involves designing, making and installing adaptations such as banister rails, ramps and handrails, while maintaining high standards of customer service in a busy equipment team.

You will work flexibly, manage your own workload, and contribute to service improvements in line with national best practices. An out of hours rota may apply for emergencies.

Qualifications

• Experience in adaptations/alterations such as designing, making and installing banister rails, ramps and metal handrails.

Responsibilities

• Carry out adaptations/alterations including design, build and install of equipment.
• Maintain accurate CES systems and data.
