Salary: £30,000 - £32,000

Alecto Recruitment is working with a key player in the AD sector, seeking a Plant Operator for their site near Swindon. The Operator will assist the Site Manager in managing daily operations.

Roles and Responsibilities

1. Manage day-to-day operations of the Anaerobic Digestion plant.
2. Work on weekdays only, Monday to Friday, with a compulsory call-out rota of 1 in 3 weeks.
3. Operate the plant via DCS or SCADA systems, ensuring optimal functioning through screen monitoring.
4. Identify and troubleshoot visual plant and equipment faults.
5. Perform first-line maintenance activities, such as isolating and replacing pumps.
6. Feed fuel into hoppers/plant.
7. Operate machinery on-site, including Telehandlers.
8. Maintain cleanliness and tidiness of the site.
9. Contribute to positive site operations and seek continuous improvement opportunities.

Skills and Qualifications

• Engineering qualification (preferred).
• Telehandler license and ability to operate mobile plant.
• WAMITAB/NEBOSH/IOSH certifications (ideal).

Knowledge and Experience

• Experience in AD site operations (desirable).

Personal Attributes

• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Commitment to high standards of work.
• Ownership of tasks from start to completion.
