AD Plant Operator

Alecto Recruitment are working with a key figure in the AD sector, who is looking for a Plant Operator for their site near Swindon, the Operator will assist the Site Manager in running the site.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Day to day operations on the Anaerobic Digestion plant
• Working Days only on Monday - Friday with a compulsory call out rota 1 in 3 weeks.
• Running the plant via a DCS or SCADA system, ensuring the plant is running as it should via the screens.
• Visual plant and equipment fault-finding
• Performing first line maintenance activities, such as isolating and changing a pump
• Feeding the fuel into the hoppers/plant
• Driving a Telehandler and other machinery on site
• Keeping the site clean and tidy
• Contributing to positive site operations and looking for continuous improvement opportunities

Skills and Qualifications

• A qualification in an engineering discipline would be ideal.
• Telehandler licence and able to drive mobile plant.
• WAMITAB/ NEBOSH/ IOSH. - Ideal.

Knowledge and Experience

• AD site experience is desirable.
• Ability to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines.
• Commitment to achieve the highest standards of work at all times.
• Takes full ownership of tasks through to conclusion.
