Job summary

St Catherine's Hospice is seeking a bank chef to prepare fresh meals for patients, families and staff. The role covers shifts on an ad-hoc basis, including events, with baking and desserts part of the duties.

Applicants should have Level 2 Food Hygiene and an NVQ or equivalent in catering or hospitality, with experience in catering for events and dietary requirements. Flexible hours and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Food hygiene Level 2 or above is essential.
• NVQ or equivalent in catering or hospitality.

Responsibilities

• Prepare freshly made meals for patients, families and staff.
• Tailor meals to special requirements and individual needs.
• Apply food safety, hygiene, allergen and dietary knowledge.
• Support catering for events, fundraisers and celebrations.
• Bake and prepare desserts.
• Work with volunteers and kitchen staff.
