Workchain in Swansea is seeking experienced HGV Class 1 Drivers for flexible, temporary ad hoc shifts across days, afternoons and nights. You will transport palletised goods in trunking or general haulage, performing vehicle checks and adhering to safety and customer delivery instructions.

The role suits reliable drivers with a valid HGV Class 1 licence, CPC and tachograph entitlement, strong timekeeping and independent work style.

Qualifications

• Valid HGV Class 1 (Category C+E) licence.
• Driver CPC and digital tachograph entitlement.
• Previous trunking or general haulage experience.
• Strong knowledge of safe driving practices and vehicle checks.
• Good timekeeping and a dependable approach.
• Ability to work independently and follow instructions.
• Clear communication skills and a professional approach to customer service.

Responsibilities

• Carry out trunking and general haulage work safely and efficiently.
• Complete vehicle checks before and after each journey.
• Transport loads in line with delivery instructions and legal requirements.
• Secure and protect goods appropriately.
• Complete delivery paperwork and electronic records accurately.
• Maintain professional standards when dealing with customers, site teams and other road users.
• Report any vehicle, load or delivery issues promptly.
