Job summary

Driver Hire Cardiff is seeking reliable drivers for ad-hoc, temporary and ongoing placements across CF/NP postcodes, centred in Cardiff. Roles cover 7.5T/C/C+E deliveries with diverse client sites, including pharmacies, supermarkets and builders' merchants. PAYE pay, holidays based on hours worked, and Workplace Pension available.

We welcome drivers with HIAB & ADR skills and a flexible approach to shifts, including part-time and full-time opportunities. Training and recruitment support provided.

Qualifications

• Delivery driver experience preferred, but not essential.
• PAYE employment with holidays accrued based on hours worked and Workplace Pension available.
• Shifts can be ad-hoc, temporary or ongoing, including full-time and part-time.
• Based in Cardiff, serving CF/NP postcodes and nearby areas.

Responsibilities

• Deliver and collect hire vehicles for varied clients.
• Complete assignments from one-day bookings to ongoing gigs.
• Cover assignments primarily in Cardiff and surrounding CF/NP postcodes.

Job description

Due to increases in our workload, we are currently looking for drivers to fill ad-hoc, temporary and ongoing placements with our clients

We require drivers for 7.5T/Cat C/Cat C+E license categories, including specialised skills such as HIAB & ADR

The range of work available is fairly diverse, to name but a few, our clients' operations range from delivering and collecting hire vehicles, to pharmacy and supermarket deliveries, to builders' merchant deliveries, and many others

Whether you're looking for full or part-time hours, we can probably help as our assignments can be anything from one-day bookings right up to permanent full-time work, and just about everything else in between

The majority of our work is in and around Cardiff, but as we cover all CF and NP postcodes, we have clients as far out as the Bridgend area, Rhondda valleys, and even as far up as Chepstow

Experience in delivery work of some kind is preferred, but not essential

All work is on a PAYE basis, with holidays accrued based on the amount of work you do and pension payments made for those who are opted in to the Workplace Pension Scheme

Whilst we endeavour to be as competitive as possible, rates of pay can vary from client to client as well as according to the class of vehicle and any specialised skill(s) involved. Further to this, aside from a very few exceptions, our drivers are always guaranteed at least 8 hours' pay for any weekday they work, regardless of what time they actually finish
