Job summary

Frimley Health NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an Occupational Therapist to join our team across a range of rotations. You will deliver high-quality, person-centred care in a fast-paced hospital setting and develop leadership as well as clinical skills through structured rotations.

You will work with a diverse team, supported by peers, clinical educators and experienced OT leaders, with opportunities for ongoing professional development and appraisal.

Qualifications

  • Essential criteria include a degree in OT and HCPC registration.
  • Ability to work independently with individuals and groups.
  • Knowledge of risk assessment and professional ethics in practice.
  • Experience with EPR and evidence-based practice is desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality, person-centred OT care across rotations.
  • Develop leadership and clinical skills through six-month rotations.
  • Work in Medicine, Orthopaedics, Surgery, Elderly Rehab, A&E, Stroke, Hand Therapy.
  • Benefit from multi-professional supervision, peer support and preceptorship.

  • An acute rotation providing you with diverse experiences including Medicine (Respiratory, Frailty, Endocrine, Gastro), Orthopaedics, Surgery, Elderly Rehabilitation, A&E, Stroke and Hand Therapy (WPH only)

Main duties of the job

  • To provide excellent, high-quality person centred clinical care that advocates for patients, strive to provide a service fit for today and the future, develop personal leadership to support clinical growth. Every rotation (6 months) brings duties specific for that speciality and team.
  • Our teams across all sites have a friendly, supportive atmosphere and a real team ethic. We know how to look after our staff - making sure they achieve the ideal work-life balance. As a Trust we offer a multi-professional preceptorship programme. In addition, we offer excellent training opportunities supported by an APH practice development lead and clinical flow lead.
