Dorset County Hospital NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an experienced nurse to join the Acute Oncology Service as an Associate CNS. You will provide triage, face-to-face assessment and specialist advice to oncology patients, supporting faster, safer care and coordination across teams.

Working with the Acute Oncology CNS team, you will apply local and national pathways, maintain high quality care, and contribute to service development and education while supporting patients through cancer

Qualifikationen

• Nurse registered with continued professional development in oncology/haematology.
• Evidence of post-registration specialist qualification in oncology, haematology or acute oncology.
• Chemotherapy administration qualification.
• Advanced communication skills qualification or willingness to undertake.

Aufgaben

• Provide triage and assess patients calling the triage line and review ED attendees and inpatients with oncologic needs.
• Offer expert advice on investigation, care and management within Acute Oncology.
• Liaise with oncologists and MDTs to coordinate care and promote timely referrals.
• Contribute to service improvement, audit and ACCEND pathways within the Acute Oncology service.
• Support and supervise nursing staff, ensuring high standards of patient-centred care.
