Job summary

Pulse is seeking an experienced Band 6 Acute Medicine Physiotherapist in Birmingham to join an exclusive agency assignment. You will assess and treat acute medical patients, support discharge planning and contribute to safe patient flow.

The role requires HCPC registration, NHS Band 6 experience, and strong clinical reasoning with excellent communication. Immediate start and ongoing contract with dedicated consultant support are available.

Qualifications

• HCPC registration as a Physiotherapist.
• NHS Band 6 experience is required.
• Acute Medicine or Acute Inpatient physiotherapy experience is essential.
• Strong clinical reasoning and assessment skills required.
• Excellent communication and organisational abilities needed.
• Ability to manage a busy caseload independently.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive physiotherapy assessments for acute medical patients.
• Develop and deliver individualised treatment and rehabilitation plans.
• Manage a varied caseload within acute medical wards.
• Support early mobilisation, respiratory care, and functional rehabilitation.
• Contribute to discharge planning and patient flow initiatives.
• Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to achieve the best patient outcomes.
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
