You will assess and treat patients with complex medical conditions, support early mobilisation, and contribute to discharge planning within a busy acute medical service. A strong multidisciplinary approach and robust documentation are essential.

Qualifications

• HCPC Registered Physiotherapist.
• NHS Band 6 experience is preferred.
• Acute Medicine or Acute Inpatient Physiotherapy experience is essential.
• Strong clinical reasoning and assessment skills.
• Excellent communication and organisational abilities.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive physiotherapy assessments for acute medical patients.
• Develop and deliver individualised treatment and rehabilitation plans.
• Manage a varied caseload within acute medical wards.
• Support early mobilisation, respiratory care, and functional rehabilitation.
• Contribute to discharge planning and patient flow initiatives.
• Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to achieve the best patient outcomes.
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
