Job summary

University Hospitals Bristol and Weston NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an experienced Consultant in Acute Medicine to lead ward rounds on the 28-bed Acute Medical Unit and to provide senior review of new admissions. The role supports the Same Day Emergency Unit and daily ward-rounds for general medicine.

On-site duties include management of the Acute Medical Take and on-call coverage with a 1:11 rota. Applications from those seeking a less-than-full-time plan are welcome, within NHS terms.

Responsibilities

• Lead ward rounds on the 28 inpatient bedded Acute Medical Unit (Sandford Ward).
• Provide senior review of new admissions and manage referrals.
• Support acute take leadership and on-call coverage as part of the 1:11 GIM on-call rota.
