Job summary

Bristol NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Specialist Dietitian for maternity leave cover at Bristol Royal Infirmary. The role focuses on acute dietetic care, enteral nutrition support, and behaviour change within medicine pathways. You will contribute to student training and service development, working as part of a supportive MDT.

HCPC registration, a nutrition/dietetics degree, and CPD are essential. The post is part-time, agenda for change, Band 6, secondment.

Qualifications

• HCPC registration and CPD demonstrated.
• Degree or postgraduate qualification in nutrition or dietetics.
• Evidence of continuing professional development.
• Clinical supervisory skills (basic).

Responsibilities

• Provide expert nutritional care across pathways, notably medicine.
• Work with MDT to ensure continuity of care.
• Communicate clearly with health-care professionals about nutritional care.
• Educate and support patients on therapeutic dietary regimens.
• Support student training and contribute to teaching.
