Job summary

NHS Borders is seeking a highly motivated and forward-thinking clinical service lead pharmacist to join the Borders General Hospital pharmacy team. You will lead, develop, deliver and evaluate clinical services across Acute Medicine, ED, Frailty, DME and Surgical specialties, driving service development and innovative practice.

You will mentor Band 8 lead pharmacists and rotational Band 6 Pharmacists, provide expert clinical advice, uphold governance and safety, and represent pharmacy at

Qualifications

Master of Pharmacy Degree and GPhC registration.
Independent prescribing qualification.
Candidates must demonstrate substantial progress across the four pillars of the RPS Core Advanced Pharmacist Curriculum via engagement and peer networks.

Responsibilities

Lead, develop, deliver and evaluate clinical services at Borders General Hospital (Acute Medicine, ED, Frailty, DME, Surgical specialties).
Support the Associate Director of Acute Services and deputise as required.
Provide expert clinical advice to staff and patients, act as a role model and clinical expert in the field, and train multidisciplinary teams.
