Job summary

Northern Care Alliance NHS Foundation Trust in Greater Manchester is seeking a Band 3 Health Care Assistant for our busy gastroenterology ward. You will support the nursing team, perform routine activities of daily living, and develop extended clinical skills to aid acute inpatient care.

The role requires good communication, teamwork, and flexibility to work unsociable hours. Experience as a Care Support Worker or equivalent is desirable, with appropriate qualifications.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 in Healthcare or equivalent.
• Care Certificate.
• GCSE English and Maths Level 1 (Literacy and Numeracy).

Responsibilities

• Assist in delivering patient-centred care on a gastroenterology ward.
• Support multi-disciplinary team and report progress.
• Carry out routine health-related activities and ADLs.
• Maintain patient privacy, dignity and confidential information.
• Work flexibly, including unsociable hours, to meet service needs.
