Aviva plc is seeking an Actuarial Specialist to join the With-Profits team in York or Bristol. The role focuses on governance, monitoring and development of Aviva's With-Profits business, delivering robust actuarial assessments and senior stakeholder engagement.

You'll balance regulatory obligations with business priorities, contributing to risk management and continuous control improvements within a dynamic actuarial environment.

Actuarial Specialist – Salary c. £65,000 (depending on location, skills, experience, and qualifications)

Are you an actuarial professional with experience in life insurance who enjoys combining technical expertise with stakeholder management and delivering high-quality governance and control? This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to play a key role in the oversight and management of Aviva's With-Profits business while leading important actuarial assessments and reviews.

A bit about the job:

We're looking for an Actuarial Specialist to join our With-Profits team, supporting the ongoing governance, monitoring and development of Aviva's With-Profits business. You'll be responsible for managing key regulatory and compliance assessments, enhancing methodologies and controls, and supporting bonus rate reviews through to approval by the With-Profits Actuary.

This is a varied role that offers exposure to a wide range of products, actuarial methodologies, and senior stakeholders. You'll help ensure robust customer outcomes, effective risk management, and continued improvement of the control environment while balancing business-as-usual priorities with development initiatives. Based in York or Bristol, you'll become an integral member of a highly skilled actuarial team.
