Job summary

Oliver James Group is recruiting a Life Actuarial Manager to join its UK actuarial consulting team in London. You will work across auditing and advisory engagements, gaining exposure to IFRS 17, capital modelling and regulatory work while overseeing client deliverables.

The ideal candidate is a Qualified Life Actuary with broad UK Life experience, who can lead small teams, review actuarial outputs and contribute across multiple engagements.

Job description

A leading consultancy is looking to hire a Life Actuarial Manager into its UK actuarial consulting team.

This is an opportunity for a Qualified Life Actuary to build consulting experience while gaining a broad view of the UK Life market.

The team works across a mix of audit and advisory engagements, with no dedicated sub-teams. This means you will have exposure to a variety of clients, projects and technical areas, including:

• IFRS 17
• Capital
• Regulatory work
• M&A / transactions
• Actuarial support to audit engagements

As a Manager, you will take a lead role in the delivery of client engagements, managing smaller teams, reviewing actuarial work and providing technical input across projects.

The Candidate

The ideal candidate will be a Qualified Life Actuary.

The team is looking for:

• Broad UK Life actuarial experience
• Experience across a range of Life products
• Exposure to financial reporting, capital and/or modelling
• Experience with IFRS 17
• Experience reviewing actuarial work
• Experience managing or supporting junior team members
• The ability to work across multiple engagements
