Actuarial Calculations Analyst - DB (Defined Benefits)

Job Type - Contract

Location - Remote

Rate - Market rates + Inside IR35

Duration - 6 months

Our client is looking for an Actuarial Calculations Analyst with Defined Benefits experience. The assignment is initially scoped for 3 - 6 months with potential for extension. The role is deemed Inside IR35.

  • Solid actuarial experience
  • Defined Benefit experience
  • Manual calculations
  • Experience in completing member options calculations
  • Support growth and development of the DB area and member experience
  • Provide calculation support for standard and non-standard member options
  • Analyze new scheme benefit data and develop automated tools to enhance outputs and reduce manual calculations
  • Strong IT skills, particularly Excel
  • Knowledge of technical actuarial concepts, including principles underlying bulk annuity pricing
  • Awareness of DB buy-in/buy-out market, life insurance, and relevant regulation
  • Experience in pensions, investment consultancy, life insurance, or reinsurance
