Job Type - Contract

Location - Remote

Rate - Market rates + Inside IR35

Duration - 6 months

Our client is seeking an Actuarial Calculations Analyst with experience in Defined Benefits. The initial scope of the assignment is 3 to 6 months, with potential for extension. The role is classified as Inside IR35.

Skills & experience

  • Solid actuarial experience
  • Defined Benefit experience
  • Manual calculations
  • Experience in completing member options calculations
  • Support the growth and development of the DB area and enhance member experience
  • Ability to provide calculation support for both standard and non-standard member options
  • Analyze new scheme benefit data and enable automated tools to maximize outputs and reduce manual calculations
  • Strong IT skills, especially Excel
  • Knowledge of technical actuarial concepts, including principles underlying bulk annuity pricing
  • Awareness of the DB buy-in/buy-out market, life insurance, and relevant regulation
  • Experience in pensions, investment consultancy, life insurance, or reinsurance
