The Emerald Group Ltd, Search and Selection is seeking an experienced actuarial professional to lead multi-disciplinary client engagement teams on external audit assignments in the UK insurance sector.

You will reserve for clients in personal lines and the London Market, calculate SCRs with the Standard Formula, and nurture relationships with clients and international network firms. Contribute to thought leadership and develop training materials.

Formación

• Fellowship accreditation or nearing completion.
• UK general insurance reserving experience.
• Experience with reserving and/or capital modelling software; proficient in MS Office tools.

Responsabilidades

• Lead multi-disciplinary client engagement teams to deliver high quality actuarial work as part of external audit assignments.
• Reserve for clients in personal lines as well as the London Market.
• Calculate SCRs using the Standard Formula approach.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with both new and existing clients as well as international network firms.
• Assist with developing the library of resources to support actuarial work, sharing knowledge and experience and contributing to the development of the team.
• Support senior management efforts to cultivate and maintain target client relationships, including assisting with proposals and the development of sales materials.
• Creation and contribution to high quality thought leadership through written publications, training events, client seminars and conferences

Overview

Key responsibilities including however, not limited to the following:

• Managing multi-disciplinary client engagement teams to deliver high quality actuarial work as part of external audit assignments
• Reserving for clients in personal lines as well as the London Market
• Calculating SCRs using the Standard Formula approach
• Building and maintaining strong relationships with both new and existing clients as well as international network firms
• Assist with developing the library of resources to support actuarial work, sharing knowledge and experience and contributing to the development of the team
• Supporting senior management efforts to cultivate and maintain target client relationships, including assisting with proposals and the development of sales materials
• Creation and contribution to high quality thought leadership through written publications, training events, client seminars and conferences

Qualifications Required

• Be committed to achieving or have recently achieved the Fellowship accreditation
• Nearly/newly qualified Actuary making good progress through the actuarial exams

Experience Required

• Previous UK general insurance experience in reserving
• Experience in capital modelling and/or pricing would also be beneficial
• Experience with using reserving and/or capital modelling software tools
• Proficient in using Microsoft Office applications such as Excel, Word and PowerPoint
• Previous consulting experience is helpful but not essential
