Activity Support Worker

We have an exciting opportunity available for an Activity Support Worker to initiate, plan and provide enjoyable and stimulating group and one-to-one activities based on the identified needs, interests and preferences of older people living in our Extra Care Services in Tower Hamlets. You will facilitate social inclusion and community links and promote their physical and mental wellbeing, confidence and independence.

Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate social inclusion and community links for older people.
  • Plan and deliver group and one-to-one activities.
  • Write reports and create promotional materials such as posters and newsletters.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience of working with people with dementia, learning disability, mental health needs, autism, and physical disabilities is advantageous.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and similar software.
  • Capacity to work flexibly, including evenings and weekends.
  • Willingness to travel between services within Tower Hamlets.
