Responsibilities

Activity Leader Responsibilities:

• Assist the Director of Activities in planning and executing activity programs.
• Engage with residents to plan individual recreational and social activities; report responses to the Director.
• Prepare resident information for care planning and documentation; write progress notes as assigned.
• Develop and maintain community resource contacts to enhance activities programs.
• Maintain departmental inventory of equipment and supplies.
• Record attendance and prepare reports as required.

Qualifications

Required Activity Leader Qualifications:

• Minimum age 18, HS diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid New York Driver’s License with a clean driving record.
• Ability to foster positive relationships with staff, volunteers, families, and visitors.
• Ability to motivate others and create a welcoming environment; adapt activities to meet residents' needs.
• Understanding of residents' rights and needs.
• Physical stamina for continuous activity required.
