Job summary

Priory Group is seeking an Activity Coordinator at Cragston Court, Blakelaw, Newcastle, offering part-time, permanent hours at £13.45 per hour. The role focuses on delivering engaging activities for residents in a 20-bed rehabilitation service, with emphasis on creative planning and supported wellbeing.

You will join a compassionate team in a nurse-led environment, contributing to a safe, welcoming space. Experience with learning disabilities or complex needs and a driving license are preferred.

Qualifications

  • You will be a creative individual who has experience working with people with learning disabilities, autism and/or complex needs.
  • Ideally you will also have a driving license.
  • Resilience is key in this role.

  • Prepares plans and delivers a wide range of activities and programmes that are tailored to meet the needs and abilities of the individual
  • Providing group activities and programmes to bring the residents together
  • Participates in site wide programmes and activities, and in other home programmes, with the agreement of line manager
  • Is able to creatively plan activities to meet the needs of service users

Cragston Court has an opportunity for an Activity Coordinator to join our team.

Cragston Court Rehabilitation Service is located in Blakelaw, a suburb of Newcastle-upon-Tyne. It is a 20 bed residential service, offering nurse-led rehabilitation programmes for people living with enduring mental health conditions. We support people coming to us from a hospital environment, and those stepping up from another community placement or their own homes.

We can also support those who have:

  • Mild to moderate behaviour that may challenge
  • A forensic background
  • Additional health needs
What you'll be doing

You’ll be part of a dedicated and compassionate team, all working together to ensure the smooth running of the service and to support the wellbeing of our residents. While your role doesn’t involve providing direct care, your contribution is vital in helping to maintain a safe, comfortable, and welcoming environment for everyone. Whether you're assisting with day-to-day operations, keeping things organised, or ensuring our spaces are well looked after, your support plays an important part in creating a positive experience for those who live and work here.
