Job summary

Colten Care in Ferndown is seeking an Activity Coordinator to create a varied calendar of activities that bring joy to residents. You will lead with warmth, creativity and a can-do spirit, turning ideas into engaging events that suit diverse interests.

You'll support residents on minibus trips, assist one-to-one and group activities, build strong relationships with families, and collaborate with the care team to make activity participation a natural part of daily life.

Responsibilities

• Creating a varied calendar of activities reflecting residents' interests – from arts and crafts to quizzes, gardening, music, gentle exercise, and special events.
• Supporting residents on minibus trips which can involve personal care.
• Supporting residents one-to-one as well as in group settings, making sure everyone feels included and valued.
• Building strong relationships with residents, their families, and friends to really understand what brings them joy.
• Bringing the local community into the home by arranging visits, outings, and special guests.
• Working closely with the care team so activities are a natural part of daily life.
• Completing administration tasks to ensure our record keeping is kept up to date.
• Working with the team to create visuals for our marketing team of all the amazing work the team does.
