Job summary

Inspire Neurocare Worcester is seeking a compassionate, motivated part-time Activities Coordinator to join our dedicated team. You will design and lead meaningful group and individual activities that support residents' rehabilitation, wellbeing and independence, celebrating strengths and personal journeys.

Working with therapy, care and nursing colleagues, you will build community links, inspire participation, and tailor activities to each resident’s goals.

Responsibilities

  • Create and lead meaningful group and individual activities that celebrate residents' strengths and support recovery and wellbeing.
  • Collaborate with Therapy, Care and Nursing teams to ensure activities aid each resident's rehabilitation journey.
  • Develop partnerships within the community and help residents explore local activities to enrich their lives.
  • Inspire resident participation and celebrate achievements to build confidence and self-esteem.
  • Lead and inspire colleagues across departments to foster a positive, creative living environment.
  • Build strong relationships with residents, families and staff to create an inclusive atmosphere.
  • Source resources and plan community-based experiences reflecting residents' interests and aspirations.

At Inspire Neurocare, we support adults with complex neurological conditions and acquired brain injuries to live more independent, meaningful lives. We deliver personalised rehabilitation, nursing care and therapeutic support that goes beyond traditional long-term care.

We’re looking for compassionate, motivated part time Activities Coordinator to join our dedicated team working 17 hours a week!

What you will be doing

As an Activities Coordinator you will play a vital part in enhancing the wellbeing and quality of life of individuals recovering from or living with neurological conditions

Your responsibilities will include:
  • Creating, and leading meaningful group and individual activities that celebrate each resident’s strengths, spark engagement, and support their personal journey of recovery and wellbeing. You will also get to know our resident’s and find out what makes them happy as individuals.
  • Working collaboratively with the Therapy, Care and Nursing teams to ensure activities support each resident’s rehabilitation journey. You will also lead on developing partnerships within the community and support residents to explore new experiences and engage with local activities that enrich their lives.
  • Inspiring and encouraging resident participation and celebrating achievements, no matter how big or small to help build resident confidence, self-esteem, and a sense of personal accomplishment.
  • Leading and Inspiring colleagues across all departments to embrace a positive and creative living environment. You will encourage everyone to care for their own wellbeing, celebrate one another’s efforts, and feel valued as part of a supportive, forward-thinking service, dedicated to improving their lives.
  • Building strong relationships with resident’s, their families and colleagues to create a positive, inclusive environment. You will learn about resident’s hobbies and interests and work with colleagues and families to ensure residents can keep doing what they love.
  • Sourcing meaningful resources and planning community-based experiences that reflect resident’s interests and aspirations, while nurturing links with local groups and venues to ensure each activity promotes inclusion, confidence and personal growth.

You’ll take the time to get to know each resident and support them in a way that respects their goals, preferences and independence.

At our Worcester service, the consultant-led interdisciplinary team includes neuro physiotherapists, occupational therapists, speech and language therapists, neuropsychologists, nurses and Rehab Assistants. Working together with individuals, families and commissioners, we deliver personalised rehabilitation and care that makes a meaningful difference to people’s lives.
