Job summary
Aurem Care is seeking an Activities Coordinator to enhance residents’ wellbeing by planning engaging activities tailored to individual preferences and abilities. You will deliver arts, crafts, baking, gardening, live entertainment and social events to create meaningful experiences.
The role emphasises connecting with residents, families and team members, while maintaining independence and compassionate care.
Qualifications
- Creative, enthusiastic and passionate about making a difference.
- Experience in planning/organising activities, ideally in care/health/community settings.
- Compassionate, patient and respectful of individual needs.
- Confident communicator who enjoys engaging with people.
- Organised and able to prioritise tasks.
- Able to work independently and as part of a team.
Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver a varied programme of group and individual activities.
- Create and maintain weekly activity schedules.
- Support residents to participate in activities reflecting interests and preferences.
- Assess residents' social and recreational needs and wellbeing goals.
- Ensure residents' social care plans are completed and reviewed.
- Build positive relationships with residents, families and colleagues.
- Assist with other duties to support care delivery.
