Job summary

Amberley Care Home, part of Care Concern Group, is seeking an Activities Coordinator to enhance daily life for residents. You will plan and deliver a varied programme of group and 1-to-1 activities, tailored to individual interests and care needs, promoting wellbeing, independence and social interaction.

You will build strong relationships with residents and the wider team, supporting inclusive participation for all, including those living with dementia.

Qualifications

• Creative, organised and enthusiastic approach to activities.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to plan and deliver engaging activities.
• Genuine interest in supporting older people.
• Experience in activities or similar role is beneficial.

Job description

Our luxury care home is situated in the beautiful, historic town of Sale, offering Residential, Dementia & Respite care for 72-residents., As Activities Coordinator, you will play a key role in enhancing daily life by delivering engaging, meaningful and person centred activities that promote wellbeing, independence and social interaction. You will plan and deliver a varied programme of group and one to one activities, tailored to individual interests, abilities and care needs. Building strong relationships is essential, enabling a clear understanding of preferences and supporting inclusive participation for all individuals, including those living with dementia. Working as part of the wider team, the role contributes to a positive and stimulating environment where individuals feel valued, active and connected. This role is open to both experienced candidates and those new to care, with training and support provided to help you develop in the role. The successful candidate will be required to work alternate weekends.

• Previous experience in activities or a similar role is beneficial, however candidates with transferable skills from roles such as hospitality, events, childcare or community work are encouraged to apply

• £12.71 per hour
• Contracted to 30 hours per week
