We are looking to employ a confident, bubbly, dynamic individual to undertake the role of an Activities Coordinator at our service in Thornaby, Stockton-On-Tees.
This service in Stockton-On-Tees provides consistent, person centered support to individuals with a Learning Disability, Autism and Mental Health support needs. Some of the people we support may also have additional complex physical or other health and social needs. We offer an empowering model of support which enables people to lead fulfilling and happy lives, maintain their tenancies, participate in their local community, develop independent living skills and achieve their personal goals and desired outcomes.
This is a part-time vacancy 22.5 hours a week to be worked flexibly across the week.
The role involves organizing, planning and delivering a wide range of engaging activities that meet the needs and interests of the people we support. Responsibilities include preparing all activity materials and resources in advance to ensure sessions run smoothly and effectively.
You will monitor participation and engagement throughout each session, adapting activities where necessary to suit individuals' abilities, preferences and wishes. The role requires a person-centred approach, ensuring that all activities are inclusive, enjoyable and promote the wellbeing, independence and social interaction of those using the service.
