Job summary

Creative Support is seeking a passionate Support Worker to join our Stockton and Billingham services, helping service users with mental health and learning disabilities to live independently and stay mentally and physically well in a supportive environment.

Full training is provided via our Training Academy, with progression toward a QCF Diploma in Health and Social Care. Car drivers are preferable; apply on the Creative Support site with the vacancy reference 91638.

Qualifications

• No previous care experience required; full training provided by Creative Support Training Academy.
• Support Service Users with mental health and learning disabilities.
• Role based in Stockton and Billingham, UK.

This is a dynamic and growing service that offers a range of support packages to support our service users with mental health and learning disabilities. As a Support Worker at our Stockton and Billingham services you will be supporting our service users, promoting independence, reducing isolation and encouraging mental and physical wellbeing. We aim to be flexible and responsive to our clients who have a range of different needs so no two days will ever be the same at this service!

Support Worker Duties

• You will provide person-centred care and support to clients to take part in all aspects of everyday life and to enjoy a wide range of activities,
• You will have skills in positive communication and engagement and will be able to demonstrate unconditional positive regard for the people we support,
• We are looking to recruit people who are confident when lone working.
