The successful candidate will:
  • Be experienced working with residents living with dementia
  • Have a genuine interest in residents
  • Possess good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Work effectively as part of the Activities Team
  • Motivate participation
  • Have good organizational and time management skills
  • Build self-esteem and stay informed about new activities
Role and responsibilities include:
  • Organizing and coordinating activities tailored to residents' needs and abilities, including themed events based on holidays and traditions
  • Booking external entertainment providers
  • Organizing community trips, considering transport and accessibility
  • Contributing to a stimulating activity program to enhance residents' quality of life
  • Maintaining records of participation and reviewing resident needs
  • Maintaining a portfolio of activities available within the Home and community
  • Participating in fundraising events
General duties:
  • Attending staff meetings
  • Completing mandatory and developmental training
  • Effective communication with staff, relatives, visitors, and agencies
  • Practicing safe working practices
