Job summary

The London Borough of Hammersmith & Fulham is seeking an enthusiastic Active Travel Officer to support projects that improve our streets and make walking, wheeling and cycling the easiest and most attractive travel options. This permanent role helps deliver London’s ambitious active travel programme and develop transport planning skills.

Based in the Clockwork Building, W6 9AR, you will work with residents, schools and businesses, gather data, prepare reports and help evaluate micromobility

Qualifications

• Strong organisational and communication skills.
• Understanding of walking and cycling policy and design principles.
• Ability to manage tasks effectively and work with data and digital tools for planning, monitoring and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Support projects that improve streets and promote active travel.
• Plan and implement active travel infrastructure such as cycle parking and crossings.
• Engage with residents, schools, businesses and community groups; assist data collection and analysis.
• Prepare reports and visual materials; contribute to procurement and contractor liaison.
