Job summary

Carrington West is seeking an Active & Sustainable Transport Officer to support the delivery of sustainable transport initiatives within the local community. You'll work as part of the Active and Sustainable Transport Team on schemes such as School Streets, placemaking, and walking and cycling projects.

Responsibilities

• Support the development and delivery of School Streets schemes.
• Contribute to placemaking projects and initiatives.
• Assist with the delivery of cycling and walking projects.
• Support the planning and delivery of Bikeability cycle training programmes.
• Contribute to environmental and sustainability projects.
• Work collaboratively with internal teams, external partners and stakeholders to support the successful delivery of projects.
• Assist with the coordination and monitoring of active and sustainable transport initiatives.
• Provide support and advice on active travel and sustainable transport matters.
• Contribute to the development of innovative solutions to encourage walking, cycling and sustainable travel.
• Support the wider Active and Sustainable Transport Team with day-to-day project and programme activities.
