Job summary

Royal Mail Group in Cleckheaton is seeking a Postie (Postal Delivery Driver) for a fixed-term 6-month contract. You will work 30 hours per week across Monday to Sunday, earning £13.68 per hour with overtime paid. Rotas include weekends and varied delivery routes.

You’ll be trained, wear a uniform and a red Royal Mail van, delivering letters and parcels while engaging with customers on your route.

Qualifications

• Full manual UK driving licence with up to 6 penalty points.
• Willingness to drive a Royal Mail van daily and pass a driving assessment.
• Physically fit enough to walk long distances and lift 10kg+ mailbags.
• Reliable and self-motivated.
• Strong organisation and resilience in a busy environment.
• Customer-focused with pride in delivering great service.

Responsibilities

• Sort letters and parcels at the delivery office.
• Deliver post by van and on foot in your local area.
• Build relationships with customers.
• Work outdoors in all weather conditions.
