Job summary

Royal Mail Group in Nottingham is seeking a Postie (Postal Delivery Driver) on a fixed-term contract for 6 months. You will deliver letters and parcels by van and on foot in the local area, following a rotating shift that includes weekends and varying routes.

You'll need a full manual UK driving licence, be able to pass a driving assessment, and stay physically fit to handle long walks and lifting 10kg+ mailbags while delivering reliable, customer-focused service outdoors.

Qualifications

• Full manual UK driving licence with up to 6 penalty points.
• Willingness to drive a Royal Mail van daily and pass a driving assessment.
• Physically fit for long walks, stairs/hills, and lifting 10kg+ mailbags.
• Reliable, self-motivated and well organised for a busy route.
• Customer-focused with pride in delivering quality service.

Responsibilities

• Sort letters and parcels at the delivery office.
• Deliver post by van and on foot in your local area.
• Build relationships with customers.
• Work outdoors in all weathers.
