Job summary

Royal Mail Group in Duns is hiring a Postie (Postal Delivery Driver) on a fixed term contract for 6 months. You will sort letters and parcels, deliver by van and on foot, and build relationships with customers in your local area, working outdoors in all weather.

The role involves a rotating shift, some weekends, and a 30-hour week with overtime opportunities. You must have a full manual UK driving licence and pass a driving assessment.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence required with max 6 penalty points.
• Willingness to drive a Royal Mail van daily and pass a driving assessment.
• Physically fit and comfortable walking long distances, climbing stairs/hills, and lifting 10kg+ mailbags.
• Reliable, self-motivated, with good organisation and resilience in a busy environment.
• Customer-focused with pride in delivering great service and working outdoors independently.

Responsibilities

• Sort letters and parcels at the delivery office.
