Royal Mail Group in Ashington is seeking a Postie to deliver letters and parcels on a rotating schedule. You will drive a Royal Mail van and walk routes, building relationships with customers and working outdoors in all weather.

In this fixed-term role, you will provide full training, enjoy a physically active job, and meet daily delivery targets while serving your community from Ashington Delivery Office.

Qualifications

• Full manual UK driving licence is required.
• Willingness to drive a Royal Mail van and pass a driving assessment.
• Physically fit and able to walk long distances, climb stairs/hills, and lift 10kg+ mailbags.
• Reliable and self-motivated.
• Strong organisation and resilience in a busy environment.
• Customer-focused with pride in delivering great service.
• Comfortable working outdoors and independently.

Responsibilities

• Sort letters and parcels at the delivery office.
• Deliver post by van and on foot in your local area.
